About Wi-Fi Connection and Router?

The performance of your Pantheone I connected speakers are dependent on the performance of your wifi network. By its nature, wireless LAN may experience interference depending on environmental conditions. Depending on the wireless router used, some network operations may perform differently.

– A good router is strongly recommended. Music is more demanding than data.
– The distance between router and speakers affect the wifi performance.
– Obstacles like walls / floors affect wifi performance.
– Other wireless devices can affect the wifi performance.

can i pair different pantheone I bluetooth speakers with each other?

No, you can not pair Pantheone I speakers with Bluetooth to each other.

how do i play content stored on my phone / tablet / computer / in my network?

1. On the Source view page, select My Music.
2. To play content stored on phone / tablet, click the device icon and choose your music to play.

how do i adjust sleep timer?

To adjust the Sleep Timer, click the settings icon on speaker in My Speakers view. Then click ”Sleep Timer” to adjust the time until your speaker will stop playing.

At a fairly regular interval my Pantheone I notifies me that it is not registered with Amazon.

To stop the speaker asking you to connect to the Amazon service, simply tap the mic mute button on the top of the speaker (it will disable the mic and the light will become red).

how do i play spotify with my connected speakers?

You need to have a Spotify Premium account to use Spotify Connect.
1. Open Spotify, start playing content.
2. Choose your Pantheone I speaker in Spotify among Available devices (found at bottom of played)
Go to Pantheone app to manage music and speakers.

To play Spotify Free with Pantheone I connected audio units, use Bluetooth and re stream audio to play to more speakers in a group.

can i play music wirelessly from a turntable or co-player?

Yes you can!
The Pantheone I have AUX inputs to connect other audio gear. A turntable / CD-player can be connected to Pantheone I speaker and then played to other speakers in your system.
Example, connecting a turntable:
1. Connect turntable (AUX) by cable
2. In Pantheone App on Source page, select LINE as a source.
3. Start playing your music on your turntable.

To play to more speakers wirelessly:
1. The speaker to which you have connected the turntable must be the Master speaker in the group.
2. Drag and drop other speakers onto this speaker to make a group. Sound will play to all speakers in the group.

how do i set left / right on speakers?

In My Speakers view, each speaker/device has a circle with LR letters inside.
Push to toggle between:
L= Left
R=Right
LR= Stereo (Left + Right)

how do i play apple music (airplay) with my connected speakers?

There are a number of music services using AirPlay to play audio.
For example Apple Music:
1. Apple Music, start playing music.
2. Pull up the list over available AirPlay devices on your iOS unit (usually from top or bottom) choose your Pantheone I speaker in the list.

How many speaker can i have in a multi-room setup?

You can have up to 32 speakers / devices in a single network. Note that performance may be affected by the more speakers you add.

how do i group and ungroup speakers?

To Group:
– In My Speakers view, push on the speaker/device box until it is movable.
– Drag and drop onto the speaker you want to group it with.
– The speaker onto which you drop a unit will become a master speaker, the others slaves.
You can have up to 8 speakers in a group.

To Ungroup:
– Push on a speaker / device which is a slave unit in a group.
– Drag it below the dotted line in the list of speaker / devices.
– Done. The speaker is now a single master unit.

how does volume control work with bluetooth playback?

Your device (smartphone, tablet or computer) has 1 volume control, and your Pantheone I speaker has 1 volume control. Set the volume on the speaker to the max, and then adjust the volume on your device.

how do i perform a factory reset of a speaker?

To perform a factory reset, click the icons on speaker for 10sec in My Speakers view.
Then click Info -» Restore to factory settings. Your speaker will now reset.
You will need to perform a new wifi set-up to install the speaker in your home network again.

How do i check the wi-fi connection strength for a speaker?

To check the wifi strength, click the settings icon on speaker in My Speakers view, then on WiFI strength in the menu. If the wifi strength is below 15-20%, place the speaker closer to your router.

how many speakers can i have in a group and play to?

Our recommendation is that you have maximum of 8 speakers in a group.

how can i stream music to my pantheone speakers?

To stream music to your Pantheone speakers, you can utilize the Pantheone audio app or use Airplay.

how to add more connected speakers / units to my network?

1. In the app, in My Speakers list view, push the speaker icon with a + in the upper right corner.
2. Follow instructions in the app.Always perform setup with speaker close to your router!
You can later place it where you want, and check its wifi connection strength to the router in the app.

how do i connect my smart phone or tablet to the speaker?

Bluetooth connection:
1. Turn on your speaker.
2. Press M button on the speaker, when the M button become blue hold the Sync button for 5sec and pair your device.
3. Open up your Bluetooth settings on your device.
4. After approx. 20sec, your speaker name will appear in Bluetooth list.
5. Press the speaker name.6. Done! Start playing your music.

which music file formats is supported?

Pantheone I supports APE, FLAC, WAV, Apple Lossless (ALAC), AAC, AAC-LC, HE- AAC,HE-AAC v2, MP3

my speaker is not visible in the list of speakers?

Your speaker might be out of range from your router. Try this:
– First, place the speaker as close as possible to your router.
– Then turn the speaker off, pull out the power cable and wait for 30 seconds.
– Reconnect the speaker to power, and wait until it connects to your network again. A sound is heard when the speakers have connected again to your network.
Go to the app and see if the speaker appears in My Speakers view. If not, close app and restart.

my speaker is not responding, no sound?

Check the wifi strength, click the settings icon on speaker in My Speakers view, then on WiFI strength in menu. Also check the sound by connecting your phone / tablet to the 3.5mm input by cable (connect to phone or other sound source). Change source on the speaker to AUX to test to playing via 3.5mm input.
Also try this:
1. Close and re-open the app.
2. Disconnect speaker from power, wait 30 seconds. Then reconnect to power and let the speaker connect to your network. A sound is heard when the speaker has connected again to your wifi network.

To switch off your music in all rooms, you can follow these steps:

Using the Pantheone app:
- Open the Pantheone app.
- Click the link symbol.
- Untick the speaker you want to remove.
- Alternatively, you can lower the volume of the specific speaker you want to turn off.

Using Airplay 2:
- Go to the Airplay 2 symbol.
- Untick the speaker you want to remove.

my device doesn't connect to an already paired speaker?

It is possible that your phone or tablet is already paired with something else. Maybe you had your phone paired to a car stereo or a speaker in another room of your house.
Reset the Bluetooth on your phone (or iPad, tablet, etc) in Bluetooth settings.
– Turn Bluetooth OFF and then ON again right from your device (i.e. phone).
– “Forget” your Bluetooth device and redo pairing.
This will reset any existing Bluetooth connections, allowing you to reconnect to your speaker. You may also need to do the pairing process again.

how to perform setup the first time?

Always perform setup with speaker close to your router! You can later place the speaker where you want it, and check its wifi connection strength to the router in the app.

1. Download Pantheone App from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Connect the speaker to a power outlet. Turn the speaker to ON.
3. Follow the instructions in the app.

I can't send music to my Pantheone I via wifi after 30 minutes of playing through it.

The Pantheone I automatically powers off after 30 min with no activity. To override this, turn your speaker on and hold the Forward (>>) button down until you hear two beeps. This should have the speaker always ready to receive music and it will not be turning off (solid red).

To use multiroom, follow these steps:

- Ensure that all your speakers are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your streaming device.
- If you are using Airplay 2, you can stream music to any Airplay 2 device that appears on the Airplay list.
- If you have multiple Pantheone speakers, you can use the Pantheone app. Press the link button in the app to link more speakers together.

You may now use your speakers to play music and other media.

i'm experiencing playback interference?

Minimize interference:
Just like your Wi-Fi, cellphone, and other wireless signals, Bluetooth range and performance can vary depending on a number of factors. All smartphones and tablets aren’t created equal, so be aware that the following can have varying influence on your Bluetooth connection quality.

Walls:
If your phone is in your pocket and you’re moving between rooms in your home, Bluetooth distance is reduced significantly. Try to keep your device in the same room as your Bluetooth speaker for optimal performance.

People:
Your body makes a better door than a window. In fact, the human body is one of the worst offenders when it comes to blocking Bluetooth signals (as are all “watery” objects). If you are in between your device and your Bluetooth speaker (like if your phone was in your back pocket), it may affect performance.

Other wireless signals:
If you have a lot of devices fighting for wireless airspace in your home, they can interfere with each other. If there is no other interference (your device and speaker are in the same room with no obstructions) and you’re still experiencing issues, make sure that any other Bluetooth devices or peripherals you have in close proximity are disabled.

i get audio drop outs or interference in the playback?

Have you moved the speaker? Try to place it close to the router. As wifi networks can be affected by other networks, your network performance may change if, for example, your neighbors have new routers or other devices which affect your router's performance.

what is bluetooth?

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that makes short-range connections between devices at distances up to 10 meters. Obstacles like walls and interference with microwave ovens can shorten range.

setup; only use network on 2.4GZ band?

The Pantheone I wifi system only uses the 2.4GHz band. Most routers have both 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz bands. Your phone / tablet must be connected to the network using the 2.4GHz band to perform the setup for a speaker. You can only connect the speaker to the same wifi network to which your phone/tablet is connected to. The 2.4GHZ band has a longer range than the 5.8GHz band. This is why our speakers only use the 2.4GHz band.

what is pantheone audio multiroom?

With Pantheone Audio speakers, you have a variety of streaming and connectivity options. One of these is Pantheone Audio Multiroom, a convenient way to link various Pantheone Audio products together across your home so that you can enjoy a more potent and individualised music listening experience.

How Do I Perform A Factory Reset To The Speaker?

Press the Ask Alexa (O) button for 10 seconds until you hear the prompt. Then wait until the speaker is restating and follow the prompt.

My Speaker Is Not Visible In The List Of Speakers?

Your speaker might be out of range from your router.

Try this:

– First, place the speaker as close as possible to your router.

– Then turn the speaker off, pull out the power cable, and wait for 30 seconds.

– Reconnect the speaker to power, and wait until it connects to your network again. Go to the app and see if the speaker appears in My Speakers. If not, force-close the app and reopen it. Your router might need to be restarted.

– Please see your router's manual for instructions.

After you have restarted your router, please go to the Audio Pro app and see if the speaker appears in the My Speakers view. If not, close the app and restart.

How Do I Add More Connected Speakers Or units To My Network?

In the Pantheone app, in the My Speakers list view, push the link icon in the upper right corner. Then just follow the instructions in the app. Always perform a setup with the speaker close to your router! You can later place it wherever you please.

Can I Turn The Product Off?

You can turn the product off by pressing the OFF button on the back panel. If the product is not plugged into an electrical outlet and there is no music for 60 minutes, it will turn itself off. To turn it on, press the on/off button and wait two minutes for the Pantheone Obsidian to restart.

I Can't Get The Pantheone Obsidian To Connect To My Wi-Fi Network?

This problem arises when you use a specific security protocol with your WiFi router. To enable Pantheone Obsidian to join your network, you will need to use the WPA or WPA 2 protocol. To modify your router protocol, please reach out to your Internet service provider.

Can a few Pantheone Obsidian speakers be wirelessly linked together in multiroom mode? or one Pantheone Obsidian speaker with other devices?

Yes, you can use the Pantheone app to link multiple Pantheone speakers. Alternatively, you can link other speakers and devices from different brands if they support AirPlay 2 or Amazon MRM.

Can I Mute Alexa?

Yes, you can. Press the mute button on the back panel of the Obsidian speaker.
